Farms of Tuolumne County Pumpkin & Zucchini Weigh In:  Farms of Tuolumne County will hold its first Pumpkin & Zucchini Weigh-In on October 21, 2017 (rain date October 28) at Hurst Ranch, 17415 Highway 108, Jamestown, CA. Pumpkin seeds were distributed in early May and we are hoping for a bumper crop of giant pumpkins to show up at the Weigh-In. In addition, for those of you who can’t help but grow giant zucchini, this is your opportunity to show off. ENTRY INTO THE WEIGH-IN IS FREE!  There is a $7 fee to get into Hurst Ranch because this event is being held in conjunction with their Fall Festival which includes the FOTC Pumpkin & Zucchini Weigh-In, Music, Unlimited Train & Hay Rides, Hay Bale Maze, Petting Zoo, and a Free pumpkin for everyone!  Kids under 2 get in free. Bach Festival – Salon Series:  The Salon Concert- an intimate, afternoon house-concert with guest artist Lisa Grodin of early-music fame. A member of the internationally renowned Philharmonic Baroque orchestra and the American Bach Soloists.  Ms. Grodin will feature the violin and viola with accompaniment in a lively and elegant program of Baroque music. 11th Annual Illumination of the Jack-O’-Lanterns:  Carve your pumpkins, turning them into classic peg-toothed grinners, artfully chiseled ghouls, leering witches, or any family-friendly design of your choosing. Bring your carved gourds to the Columbia Museum on Main Street for judging, and enjoy the live musical entertainment. Prizes will be awarded for the most original, most gruesome, most entertaining, etc. At dusk the jack-o’-lanterns will be illuminated. Ironstone Vineyards Silent Movie Night:  Ironstone Vineyards is announcing our Silent Movie Night, featuring the 1925 film ‘The Phantom of the Opera’. A favorite annual event among our guests, which offers family fun and a unique movie night. The film is shown on a large screen in the Ironstone Vineyards Music Room. The show will feature live music by organist Dave Moreno on the Robert Morton Theatre Pipe Organ accompanied with live vocals by Linda Small.
