FALL EVENTS IN THE MOTHERLODE

The autumn brings the harvest, culture and art, a mosaic of leaf fall, and, of course, zombies… Wait, zombies? Yep, that’s right. SIERRA REPERTORY THEATRE

  • September 26th to October 26th, Columbia Fallon House Theatre presents “Mark Twain’s “A Murder, A Mystery & A Marriage.” Heroes! Heroines! Villains! Great tunes, goofy jokes and red hot fiddlin’ – all spun from a Mark Twain yarn. The zany small town of Deer Lick, Missouri is thrown into frenzy when a mysterious visitor arrives. A young romance is tested and a town patriarch is murdered. Was it the local store clerk with a vendetta, or was it the suave Frenchman? Who will Mary marry? Small town antics, homespun humor and Bluegrass melodies deliver the clues in classic Mark Twain style. For more information, show dates, and to purchase tickets visit: http://www.sierrarep.org
  • October 24th to November 23rd, the Sierra Repertory Theatre presents

“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.”  A hilarious tale of overachievers’ angst chronicling the experience of six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. The show’s Tony Award winning creative team has invented an unlikely hit musical about an odd set of heroes for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time. You’ll find yourself rooting along while they learn that winning isn’t everything and that losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser. (Rated PG-13). For more information, show dates, and to purchase tickets visit: http://www.sierrarep.org
